Spicy Jack Bacon Jalapeno Cheeseburgers
Ingredients
- ½ pounds lean ground meat
- ¼ teaspoon salt pepper, seasonings, to taste
- 3 Tablespoons cheddar cheese crumbled
- 3 Tablespoons jalapenos diced (we used jarred jalapenos – if fresh, more or less to suit taste)
- 1 egg white
- 2 slices pepper jack cheese
- 2 strips bacon
- 4 tablespoons jalapenos sliced
- 1 tablespoon light mayo
- 1 tablespoon tabasco sauce
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the ground meat, cheddar cheese, salt, pepper or seasonings, to taste, diced jalapenos and the egg white until combined well. The mixture will be lumpy because of the cheese but should hold together.
- Separate into 4 equal patties.
- Grill the burgers until golden brown and slightly charred on the first side, about 3 minutes. Flip the burgers over and cook until golden brown and slightly charred on the second side, about 4 minutes for medium rare. At the 3 minute mark, add a slice of cheese and allow to melt another minute.
- When ready to assemble, throw another piece of pepper jack cheese on the top of the bottom bun. Top with the grilled burger.
- In a small bowl, mix some light mayo with hot sauce until you like the flavor. Spread that all over the top bun. Add some jalapenos, your bacon slices and replace the top of the bun.
My kind of hamburger!!! I put jalapenos on my burger, now I’ll have to try one with it inside the patty. Yum! Bring on the heat. I love spicy food.
I love jalapenos, and could eat them on *almost* anything.
Spicy food rocks – thanks Renee, for stopping by!
We really do need to stop doing this. And by that I mean, tomorrow I have a burger on my blog. LOL!
These look DIVINE!!!! I may or may not be drooling!
And that my dear, is why we will make such good life long friends. We think the same. haha
I love that we keep doing that, btw. Makes me laugh.
Have a fantastic evening and here’s to the next thing we blog together
Yummy! Sounds like a flavor combo we would love. Pinned.
I was so excited to be assigned to your blog this month for SRC! We made this and also the avocado fries to go with it – my husband thought it was the best burger he’s ever had. I really loved them – which is amazing to me because I have been so burnt out on burgers lately. The kids devoured them too!
