- ¼ teaspoons (1.5 g) salt
- ¼ teaspoons (1 g) baking soda
- ¼ teaspoons (1 g) baking powder
- ½ cup (113.5 g) butter softened
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1 medium (1 medium) egg room temperature
- ½ teaspoons (2 g) peppermint extract
- ½ teaspoons (2 g) vanilla extract

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.1 1/4 cup (156.25 g) all purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoons (1.5 g) salt, 1/4 teaspoons (1 g) baking soda, 1/4 teaspoons (1 g) baking powder
- In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.1/2 cup (113.5 g) butter, 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- Add peppermint and vanilla extracts and mix well. Add your egg and beat until well blended.1/2 teaspoons (2 g) peppermint extract, 1/2 teaspoons (2 g) vanilla extract, 1 medium egg
- Add the flour mixture a little at a time, scraping down the sides of the bowl until fully incorporated.
- Scoop or form 2" balls with the cookie dough. Place 2" apart on a lined baking sheet.
- Chill for about 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator. Don't skip this step.
- Bake cookies at 350 degrees F for 6-8 minutes.
- Cookies should be soft when removed. Allow to cool on baking sheet. Decorate as desired.
