Minty, green and festive, these Halloween Poison Milkshakes are delicious, topped with sprinkles just in time to celebrate!
This post and recipe were created for #HalloweenTreatsWeek! Samples were sent by the sponsor companies to use in the recipes, but all recipes and opinions are 100% my own.
It’s day 4 of Halloween Treats Week and today I’m sharing with you these fun and very festive Halloween Poison Milkshakes.
If you’ve missed my other two recipes this week, and want some more Halloween fun, I’ve also shared Black Cauldron Halloween Cupcakes and Halloween Puppy Chow.
Sponsored Items used in this recipe, Wilton, Sweets and Treats, Adams Extract
But let’s talk about this creamy, delicious, minty Halloween Poison Shake. This is always a huge hit with the kids and the fun and festive green color gets them every time.
The recipe is ridiculously simple, and really to get the green color you just add a couple of drops at a time until you get the shade you want.
I didn’t want a mint colored one, I wanted a gross, kind of poison filled color – because… Halloween, of course!
I found fun straws from Sweets & Treats to make the shakes pop.
If you want to add a different flavoring, you totally can. It doesn’t have to be mint.
If you want to use a different ice cream flavor, you can do that too, you will just need it to be very light or pale, so that the green effect takes place with the coloring.
And yes, you can use dairy free ice cream, coconut or almond milk, or any other variety of products to basically create this same look. If serving in tiny glasses for a party, this particular recipe will make 2-3 servings depending on size.
However if serving in a tall milkshake glass, this only makes a single serving. So double, triple, quadruple and so on, the recipe until you get what you want.
