This is one of those flavorful pasta salads that tastes amazing served nice and cold, but can also be served warm if that is how you like it.
It’s a family favorite around here and I’m often asked to bring it to events.
Plus, it’s super easy and only requires a handful of easy to find ingredients which makes it a real winner in our book.

Recipe for Spicy Ranch Black Bean Salad
Spicy Ranch Black Bean Salad with Avocado Cilantro and Lime
Ingredients
- 16 ounces bow tie pasta cooked and cooled
- 30 ounces black beans drained
- 16 ounces Ranch Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix we used Spicy Ranch flavor
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- ¾ cups mayonnaise
- 2 avocados chopped
- 3 tablespoons cilantro minced
- juice of 1 lime
Instructions
- To prepare the dressing, combine the milk, mayonnaise and spicy ranch packet in a bowl. Mix really well. Set aside.
- Prepare pasta according to package directions and allow to cool. To cool quicker, place pasta in strainer and run cool water over pasta for about 2-3 minutes.
- When ready to make salad, in a large serving bowl combine the cooked pasta and black beans.
- Stir in the prepared dressing mixing well to coat.
- Gently fold in the chopped avocados, cilantro and lime juice.
- Cover and refrigerate. Chill 30 minutes to thicken.
