Restaurant Style Garlic and Herb Bread Dipping Oil

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon sun dried tomato paste (or any kind of tomato paste)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons dried Italian Herbs (rosemary, basil, thyme)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (more to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 ounce of sun dried tomatoes in olive oil (I just pulled one tomato strip out of my jar and added it)
  • 1/4 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper


In a saucepan on the stove, heat oils together. Add Italian Seasoning.
Bring to a simmer and continue simmering for 3-4 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow to cool.
In your blender, or using an immersion blender, blend together seasoned cool oil, tomato paste, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, sun dried tomatoes, parsley, salt and pepper.
Refrigerate for at least an hour. Flavor develops further the longer it cools and sits.
Store in air tight container in refrigerator for up to 30 days.
