Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon sun dried tomato paste or any kind of tomato paste
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons dried Italian Herbs rosemary, basil, thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ ounces sun dried tomatoes in olive oil I just pulled one tomato strip out of my jar and added it
  • ¼ teaspoon chopped parsley
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • In a saucepan on the stove, heat oils together. Add Italian Seasoning.
  • Bring to a simmer and continue simmering for 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • In your blender, or using an immersion blender, blend together seasoned cool oil, tomato paste, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, sun dried tomatoes, parsley, salt and pepper.
  • Refrigerate for at least an hour. Flavor develops further the longer it cools and sits.
  • Store in air tight container in refrigerator for up to 30 days.
