My awesome smoothie maker I purchased last summer has been a blessing in disguise.
Pineapple Smoothie

We’ve created smoothies, slushes, ice cream drinks, shakes and so much more.

We’ve experimented with different fruits and combination’s, flavors and syrups and just had a ton of fun.

One of my favorite drinks we created is what we call the Sunny Hawaiian Smoothie because it reminds us of a hot summer day in Hawaii.

It can be enjoyed anytime of year whenever you need a little boost of the tropics or summer.

We’ve served this twice at two different Luau’s we’ve hosted and it is always a big hit.

You simply cannot go wrong with this Sunny Hawaiian Smoothie.

Sunny Hawaiian Smoothie Ingredients

freshly squeezed orange juice
crushed pineapple with juice
med. bananas
plain or vanilla yogurt (tip: we found coconut cream yogurt once and tried it and yeah… wish I could buy it in big size because it was amazing!! Don’t be afraid to try other flavors)
ice
splash of grenadine syrup for color, if desired

Easy directions

Add the ice, pineapple and bananas in a blender; process until smooth.

Add the orange juice and yogurt and blend.

Pour into glasses, and add a splash of grenadine syrup for color if desired. Serve immediately.

Ideas: You can garnish the side of the glass with a pineapple slice for decoration.

NOTE: You can use more or less of any of the fruit ingredients – just changes up the flavor, makes one more prominent than another, etc.

Enjoy this recipe!

  1. This recipe looks delicious! I’ve been making fruit smoothies for awhile and enjoy finding new recipes.

    1. Hi Judi, I use anything from a 10oz can to a 15oz can. Haven’t gone over that size yet. Generally a 10oz can works best, unless you want even more wonderful pineapple flavor 🙂

    1. I used myfitnesspal.com to kinda throw the ingredients together. Assuming you were going to serve it to 4 people, the calories for one 8oz glass of smoothie would be approximately 160 calories (take or give) (depending on which brands you go with, etc.)

  2. You mentioned buying a new smoothie maker – do you mind sharing which one you purchased? I’d love to buy one but I want to get reviews/opinions first. thank you.
