Recipe Summary
This post was originally posted back in March of 2010. I thought it was about time it got a face lift with some photos and better text.
I’ve made this Hershey’s Kiss Chocolate Pie Recipe since I was a teenager. It was always one of my favorite go-to dessert recipes because it was so easy but it was incredibly decadent and rich and everyone always raved. I believe it was originally pulled out of a community cookbook for one of the local churches, but can’t remember.
I’ve handed this recipe out for years whenever I serve it, so it’s always a hit. But it’s also one of the easiest things to make.
What Size Hershey’s Kiss Bag Do You Need?
It’s funny, back when I started making this Hershey’s Chocolate Pie Recipe, the original called for 13 ounces of Hershey’s Kisses which was what size the package was.
Over the years they have shrunk the size of the bag and now the Classic Size bag is 12 ounces. Trust me it won’t matter.
We’ve made this dozens of times with just 12 ounces and you cannot tell there is a missing ounce.
What do I need to make Hershey’s Chocolate Pie Recipe?
Easy, basic ingredients are what make this pie such a huge hit. Easy to find for an incredibly easy to make pie. And only FIVE INGREDIENTS!
- Hershey’s Kiss 12 ounce bag (you can also substitute 12 ounces of Hershey Bar’s instead).

- cream cheese
- whipped cream
- chocolate pie crust
It’s basically up to you whether you make your own pie crust or purchase an already made one.
I have done both, but more often than not, I simply just purchase an already made one to keep this Hershey Chocolate Pie Recipe as simple as possible.
This is definitely still one of my favorite go-to easy dessert recipes.
