What Can I add To This Pizza

This pizza is amazing as is, but if you want to add more, customize it to your own tastes or simply kick it up a notch, try these additions:

  • spinach
  • arugula
  • mushrooms
  • red onions
  • cooked chicken (if you want a protein – make a chicken alfredo pizza)

You realize that it doesn’t have to be National Pizza day to actually enjoy a great pizza, and especially not a healthy one. It is among the top of America’s most popular food.

I didn’t even start enjoying pizza until adulthood. And now a pizza like this can be on my menu at least once a week, no problem.

Plus it’s so simple to throw together, and it’s ready in 20 minutes. Not too many healthy meals can boast that.

What Drizzle Can I use?

There are tons of delicious drizzles you can add to your Garden Veggie Alfredo Pizza before serving to elevate the flavors and add a touch of elegance. Here are some ideas:

For Added Flavor & Zest:

  • Pesto: A vibrant pesto drizzle adds a burst of fresh flavor and a beautiful green contrast.
  • Balsamic Glaze: The sweet and tangy flavor of balsamic glaze complements the creamy Alfredo sauce and roasted vegetables perfectly. It also adds a lovely visual appeal.
  • Olive Oil (infused or plain): A drizzle of high-quality olive oil enhances the overall flavor and adds a touch of richness. Infused oils, like garlic or chili oil, can add an extra layer of complexity.
  • Lemon Juice or a squeeze of fresh lemon: A little acidity brightens up the rich flavors and adds a refreshing zing.

For a Touch of Heat:

  • Chili Oil or Hot Sauce: If you like a little spice, a drizzle of chili oil or your favorite hot sauce is a great way to add some heat. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Red Pepper Flakes: A sprinkle of red pepper flakes adds a subtle heat and a pop of color.

For Added Freshness:

  • Fresh Herbs: A sprinkle of fresh basil, oregano, parsley, or thyme adds a fresh and aromatic touch.

For Extra Creaminess:

  • Extra Alfredo Sauce: If you love Alfredo sauce, a drizzle of extra sauce can make the pizza even more decadent.

For a Gourmet Touch:

  • Truffle Oil: A few drops of truffle oil add an earthy and luxurious flavor. (Use sparingly, it’s potent!)

Consider your veggies: Think about the vegetables you’ve used on your pizza. Some drizzles pair particularly well with certain vegetables. For example, balsamic glaze is excellent with roasted red peppers and onions, while pesto is a natural complement to tomatoes and zucchini.

No matter what you choose, a drizzle is a simple yet effective way to add a finishing touch to your Garden Veggie Alfredo Pizza and make it even more delicious!
