Twisted Green Bean Casserole

The classic American side dish for the holidays, probably one of the most clipped recipes of all time. Only Twisted Bacon Green Bean Casserole is kicked up a notch. Taken to another level, if you will. This one has new flavors thrown in. GREAT flavors!

Ingredients

  • 5 strips bacon chopped
  • ½ cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup black olives sliced
  • 10 ½ ounces cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 58 ounces Green Beans with Mushrooms.
  • cup French's® Fried Onions
  • 3-4 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries

Instructions

  • Begin by chopping up the bacon and onions. Then mince the garlic or to make it easier, just use already minced garlic.
  • Now, fry up the bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat, until almost crisp. Toss in the chopped onions and cook for 4-5 minutes until soft and translucent.
  • Add the black olives and minced garlic and cook for about 5 minutes
  • Add the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce and black pepper and mix together well.
  • Drain the Del Monte® Green Beans with Mushrooms.
  • Add them to the skillet and stir until combined.
  • Spoon into a 9 x 13 casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 25 minutes.
  • Remove and sprinkle French's® Fried Onions, Parmesan cheese and cranberries on top. Bake for an additional 5 minutes. Serve while hot.
