A fun candy adventure. Vanilla Cherry Bark is an easy treat, filled with great cherry flavor. Makes a great gift idea, simply wrap in plastic and tie with a bow. Hang a sweet tag and give to your loved one.
Preheat your oven to 250 degrees. Line a 9 x 13 pan with tinfoil, and make sure it covers the sides. Then, spray the tinfoil with cooking spray. Pour the white chocolate chips in an even layer on the foil.
Place in the oven for 5-8 minutes. Remove and smooth down with a spatula.
Place in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes or until the chocolate is nearly firm.
Remove the pan about 5-10 minutes before you want to add the next layer so the layers adhere well.
In the microwave, melt the pink candy melts according to package directions.
Stir in the cherry extract quickly.
Spread across the white chocolate layer.
Sprinkle the whole pan with the crushed cherry candy.
Gently use your spatula to press the candy into the pink layer. Chill the pan until firm.
When its ready, lift the tinfoil and shake off excess candy. You can either cut them into squares or break into pieces.
Chill in a covered plastic container. It's delicious cold but hard to bite into - totally worth the effort!
