Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tablespoons seasoning salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ½ cups breadcrumbs or panko

Instructions

  • Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken strips dry with paper towels. This helps the breading adhere better.
  • Season the Flour: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour and the seasoning salt. (more or less to taste - if desired add garlic powder, dried herbs and other seasonings here)
  • Bread the Chicken: Dredge each chicken strip in the seasoned flour mixture, then dip it in the beaten egg, and finally coat it evenly in the breadcrumbs.
  • Air Fry Time: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the breaded chicken strips in a single layer in the basket, making sure they don't touch.
  • Cook and Enjoy!: Air fry the chicken strips for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F). Flip the chicken strips halfway through cooking for even browning.
