Ingredients

  • 1 cups butter
  • ½ cups granulated sugar
  • cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • frosting if desired for decoration

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350.
  • Beat the butter and sugars together in a mixing bowl, until they become light and fluffy.
  • Next, add the eggs and the vanilla. Mix together well.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar.
  • Pour the dry ingredients into the wet batter and mix until blended.
  • Add the chocolate chips (or whatever kind you chose).
  • Using a pizza pan, spread the dough out to almost the edges.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Remove and allow to cool.
  • We don’t usually decorate ours, but once the cookie cake is cooled, you can add icing and other decorations.
