Air Fryer Cinnamon Apple Rings

Air Fryer Cinnamon Apple Rings are an easy way to make a quick snack.  A fun take on traditional dried apple rings - these Cinnamon Sugar Covered rings are a great after school Fall treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 large apples
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 large eggs beaten (you might need another one)
  • ¾ cup milk

For Coating:

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 380 degrees.
  • Prep the apple rings: peel, core, then cut the apples into rings. I use this tool and then slice to shape.
  • Add the flour, sugar and cinnamon into a medium size bowl. Mix. Set aside.
  • Beat the eggs, pour into a shallow dish. Mix in the milk. Add to the flour mixture stirring to combine.
  • In another shallow dish, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  • Dip your apple rings into your batter and allow excess batter to drip off. Place on a sheet of parchment paper.
  • Now dip each ring in the cinnamon sugar mixture. If you need some more, go ahead and mix up a little more.
  • Spray the bottom of the air fryer basket with cooking spray - thoroughly.
  • Place the rings in the bottom of the air fryer separated and not touching. You will need to do these in batches.
  • Spray the apple slices with a light coat of cooking oil and air fry the apples for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the basket and flip the apples over. Air fry an additional 2-3 minutes or until apple slices look done.
  • When finished, remove from basket, allow to cool for about 10 minutes and serve with caramel sauce.
  • These Air Fryer Cinnamon Apple Rings can be stored in an airtight container for about 2 days.
