Gooey, delicious cinnamon glazed donut french toast makes a stale donut into a delicious breakfast that young and old alike will delight in. A twist on a true classic, but made better!
3glazed donutsthree day-old sliced in half lengthwise (like a bagel)
1largeegg
1teaspoonscinnamon
½cupheavy cream
Instructions
In a small bowl, beat egg, heavy cream, vanilla extract and cinnamon together until light and frothy.
Dip each slice of donut into the egg mixture for a couple of seconds, coating the whole thing. Be careful not to leave it in more than just a second or two, or you'll wind up with really soggy donut that is difficult to place down because it will fall apart.
Cook donut slices on lightly greased nonstick griddle or skillet on medium heat until golden on both sides.
