Ingredients

  • 3 glazed donuts three day-old sliced in half lengthwise (like a bagel)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, beat egg, heavy cream, vanilla extract and cinnamon together until light and frothy.
  • Dip each slice of donut into the egg mixture for a couple of seconds, coating the whole thing. Be careful not to leave it in more than just a second or two, or you'll wind up with really soggy donut that is difficult to place down because it will fall apart.
  • Cook donut slices on lightly greased nonstick griddle or skillet on medium heat until golden on both sides.
  • Serve hot with syrup or honey.
