Good sleep is a foreign concept to me. I wake often during the night, for absolutely no reason. I won’t deny that some nights is stress and worry that keeps me from getting a good night sleep, but honestly, it happens so often, it doesn’t really make sense that it’s stress and worry all that often. I’m not a very high strung person, so I mean, what’s the deal… I don’t stress and worry that often.
I do however lie awake many nights tossing and turning and praying I fall back asleep or praying morning comes soon so I can get up and not lay there anymore.
My boyfriend is the same way. We both seem to suck at sleeping. I have tried a lot of different things, as has he. He takes a sleep med every night, but I don’t. His sleep med actually doesn’t work a lot of the time. So he resorts to using Benadryl, which I am not a fan of. I hate the groggy feeling it gives him in the morning, and I know I feel horrible in the morning whenever I’ve taken it when sick. This is why I don’t use it.
When I was asked to review Govivo!, I was pretty desperate for some good nights sleep, so I jumped on it. I was SO happy it was all natural, because that was important. In fact, just look at the ingredient list:
Lemon balm: It’s believed that lemon balm has calming effects so it’s taken for anxiety, sleep problems, and restlessness.
Passionflower: It is thought to provide relief from problems like nervousness and insomnia. It’s supposed to mellow the mood by boosting the brain’s levels of a chemical called GABA, which lowers your brain activity.
Well, that certainly made sense to me.
My experience with Govivo!
Night 1: Taken about a half hour before I was ready to go to sleep. It had been a busy day, but I had a to-do list running through my mind for the next day that I was worried would keep me awake. Within about 15 minutes of laying down I was sound asleep, and I woke up 6 hours later feeling well rested and refreshed. The only thing I did not like, was the vivid dreams I had. They were disturbing that night and I woke up rather unsettled because of them, but I still felt well-rested.
Night 2: Taken about 45 minutes before I was ready to go to sleep. I fell asleep quickly, probably within about 5-10 minutes of lying down. I slept straight through the night from about 10:30pm to 6:30am. Well rested. I also dreamed this night, but the dreams were not at all disturbing and very peaceful.
Night 3: Taken about 30 minutes before bed. Fell asleep within 10 minutes. Well rested the next morning.
This has continued on during my 10 day experiement and I am pleased to say I am sleeping better, feel better and have more energy during the day.
I have found on occasion that I wake up during the night, but being natural, I can take another one if I need it to go back to sleep.
