This is a sponsored post for Milo’s Kitchen Homestyle Dog Treats, however as always, all text, photos and opinions are 100% honest and my own.
Meet Pookie. She’s 10 months old. She’s soooo tiny.
She’s our newest addition to our already crazy full house. And she’s totally my baby girl.
She follows me everywhere I go. She lays in her little bed next to me while I work. She wants to be with me every second of every day, and guess where she sleeps?
Yep with me. She brings me such joy. That unconditional love that only a pup can give.
She literally arrived and took a wet nose dive straight into all of our hearts. From her tiny little paws, and her cute little ears, to her wild and crazy hair and her floofy tail, I love every inch of her and so does the rest of the family. We made Pookie a part of our family from the very first day.
She goes almost everywhere with us and she is constantly under our feet. And truthfully, I wouldn’t have it any other way. When we are away and can’t take her with us, we all talk about her so much you’d think she was another child.
I actually miss her, like I would one of my kids.
We pamper her like crazy. She has clothes and bows, fancy leashes and collars and a toy basket that any dog would be jealous of (and due to her size, is actually larger than she is!) filled to the rim with all kinds of toys. She loves to chase her toys and bring them back again and again. She runs like a little terror throughout our back yard. She’s so fast. She’s the easiest dog I’ve ever owned. That’s for sure.
Pookie is a rescue, though I believe she was taken care of. I don’t really know what her first 10 months looked like. She doesn’t understand any commands, she didn’t even know the name they gave her and she seems oblivious to any name we try. So we named her Pookie and that’s just going to have to stick. She’s totally a Pookie.
Pookie is still in the beginning training stages as we learn to go potty outside, sit, stay and heel. You know, the basics. Stuff she should have known by now. She doesn’t seem to know any of it, though she is eager to please and is learning quickly. She also walks pretty well on a leash which surprised us.
She only had accidents on day one and two and since then, not a single one. She is learning sit, although she seems to forget.
To reward her (and also I’m a sucker for all the kisses I get after giving a dog treat) for her hard work and effort, we went to Walmart and picked up some Milo’s Kitchen® homestyle dog treats.
We love these treats because the #1 ingredient, listed first is real chicken/beef! Plus each one is made totally free of artificial flavors or colors and made right here in the USA. This gives me a peace of mind that I am providing Pookie with the best.
Milo’s Kitchen Homestyle Dog Treats look just like jerky, sausage slices and meatballs. Oh, but it get’s better. They aren’t just made to look like them – they ARE 100% real jerky, sausage slices and meatballs.
Everything about these treats make me happy, because after all, our dogs are family. And Pookie deserves to be treated like family with healthy, delicious snacks that I can get easily at Walmart.
We bought her the Chicken Recipe With Wild Rice & Spring Vegetables Dog Treats and the Beef Recipe with Real Brisket and Garden Vegetables. To say she loves them is an understatement.
Her little tail wags a mile a minute and she does this little happy dance and prance and then stands on her two little back legs showing off. Such a cutie. And we are progressing on the sit and stay command, so yay!
How do you pamper your pet?
