I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I put one of my four kids on a bus this morning.
Our district has this cool program called Transition day that they do for the Sixth Graders and Ninth Graders in the district to let them have a day at school first to get used to everything, find everything and learn their schedules without being swarmed with all the other grades.
My ninth grader had her first day of high school this morning. She had an early release day so she was home by about 1:30 but none the less, it felt so weird seeing a bus pull up in front of our house this morning.
All of my kids go back to school on Monday. MONDAY. Wait… what? How is my summer with my kiddo’s already over?
This year I have a 7th grader, an 8th grader, a 9th grader and two 11th graders. It’s going to be a busy year.
I am happy to report, that after lying on the living room floor last night and freaking out because she was going to high school today – she actually had a great day. She’s still a bit nervous to return on Monday when all the grades are present, but at least she had a positive start.
Does anyone know where my summer went? And if you find it – could you return it ASAP. K – Thanks!
