These 5 refreshing Summer Flavored Iced Tea Ideas are the perfect way to cool down in the hot summer months! 5 Easy & Delicious Recipe Ideas!

Making-Bigelow-Iced-Tea-4

Not too terribly long ago, I realized I was consuming way too many sugary drinks. I wanted to come to a solution, but I was tired of drinking only water, and wanted something with some refreshing flavor.

I have always loved iced tea, and will drink it plain, sweet (but not too sweet) and most definitely flavored. Bigelow Tea makes flavoring my iced tea super easy. The flavor combinations are endless and SO delicious!

In an effort to cut back on sugary drinks, I have come up with some really fun Bigelow Iced Tea combinations, as well as a basic iced tea recipe as a jumping off point. You can get all sorts of flavors at Walmart, in the tea aisle (photo at the bottom of the post to help with location).

Add fruit, herbs and change up the flavors to make this what you want. Below I have listed my 5 favorite combinations of Bigelow Teas to use for iced tea.

So we are going to start with a very basic tea recipe. This recipe works for any flavor combination you can think of, with Bigelow teas making the possibilities endless.

Notes: For the “base” of the Bigelow Iced tea you can choose either black or green tea. This will be the two tea bags you use to begin your flavor combination.

Base tea’s that are favorites for these recipes are Bigelow Constant Comment Tea, Bigelow American Breakfast Tea, Bigelow Green Tea or for a light, florally base, Bigelow Jasmine Green Tea.

When it’s time to add your flavor, you have 4 tea bags to use. This can be a combination of 4 different flavors, or simply only 1 or 2. However you choose.

The best part of this recipe, is that there isn’t a “rule” to follow. You can make whatever combinations you want.

Now that you have the basics, let’s see what fun flavor combinations we can come up with.

1. Blueberry Lemon Iced Tea

A fun, and refreshing flavor combination for a later afternoon pick me up. I love Blueberry and Lemon together and you can use either a black or green tea base.

Steep 2 Bigelow Wild Blueberry with Acai Tea Bags & 2 Bigelow Lemon Lift Tea Bags + 2 Bigelow Black or Green Tea

2. Vanilla Mint Iced Tea

I love a glass of this in the afternoon. It’s a fun flavor combination that has an unexpected twist. Garnish with mint leaves or muddle a few and layer them below the ice.

Steep 2 Bigelow French Vanilla Tea Bags + 2 Bigelow Mint Medley or Bigelow Plantation Mint Tea Bags + 2 Bigelow Black or Green Tea Bags

3. Peach Vanilla Iced Breakfast Tea

I reach for a glass of this almost every single morning. It’s a nice little wake-me-up, and is a delicious way to start the day!

Steep 2 Bigelow Perfect Peach Tea Bags & 2 Bigelow French Vanilla Tea Bags (or for a spiced version Bigelow Vanilla Chai) + 2 Bigelow American Breakfast Tea Bags

4. Raspberry Pomegranate Iced Tea

This is one of my absolute favorite flavor combinations. Sometimes I will add some lemon and actual raspberries to the glass. This is a go to combination when I have a friend over too, because everyone loves the combination. Sometimes I will even make it with American Breakfast Tea to give me a little pick me up in the morning.

Steep 2 Bigelow Red Raspberry Herbal Tea Bags OR Bigelow Raspberry Royale Black Tea Bags + 2 Bigelow Pomegranate Black Tea OR Bigelow Pomegranate Pizazz Herbal Tea Bags + 2 Bigelow Black or Green Tea Bags

5. Mango Basil Iced Green Tea

I make a pitcher of this nearly every weekend. It’s such a refreshing summer drink and it’s so simple and I adore mango. The Basil adds a unique flavor twist that I adore. Add some mango chunks or a few slices of lemon to take it to the next level.

Muddle some basil, and layer in the bottom of the pitcher. Steep 4 Bigelow Green Tea with Mango Tea Bags + 2 Bigelow Green Tea Bags. Serve with basil leaves floating on top.
