Yes, I know I am ridiculously excited about my daughter’s pregnancy and the birth of my first grand child (due Feb. 29, 2016).
I thought I’d share the ultrasound pics, at least a few of them, because it might be the most exciting thing happening around here lately.
So obviously the profiles shot is above. Below this, is our “boy”shot. He is most definitely a boy – and in case you missed my previous post – his name is Carsyn Oliver.
The baby shower is planned for January, so we are already getting prepared for that, and of course lots of baby blue stuff.
Below is Carsyn Oliver’s healthy spine and rib cage. I don’t know why, but I always find shots like this so cool to see and look at.
And it looks like our grandbaby might possibly be a thumb sucker, as we clearly watched him put his hand up to his mouth and what appeared to be a finger pop right inside. The boy ultrasound pics below is a still shot from that. As I’m sure you can see by the ultrasound pics, we are so super excited, and the days are numbered until she delivers. Aside from one ER trip for mama’s dehydration because she got a HORRIBLE strain of the stomach flu and couldn’t hold food or drink of any kind down, mama and baby are healthy and as of this writing, on their 26th week.
For me, this is an amazing thing to experience, not just with my daughter, but with Doug. Doug is not the father of my children, nor did he ever have children of his own. He is an Uncle because of me, “Unta Doug” to Alex, my sweet 4 year old nephew, and Jacob my sweet 1 year old nephew, but now he’s about to become a grandpa, and not only experience the joy in that, but ALSO the joy is having the child in our home. Well, I think it’s joyful, but the jury is still out on how he feel’s – a very nervous grandpa for sure. Since he is amazing to my kids, my nephews and any dog that comes within 200 yards of him, I am sure he will do just fine. haha
