Do you ever wonder what happened to that recipe you thought you saved to make later? I’m constantly losing recipes I have saved, and while I bookmark many of them, I sometimes have trouble finding a particular one. Most food bloggers are providing an alternative that is FREE and is a sure way to make sure you don’t lose them!
Have you seen Yummly? I have a yummly button over on my share bar to the left of the page.
Let’s talk about what Yummly is. The Yummly Recipe Site was launched in 2010 by foodies that were on a mission to invent the ultimate kitchen tool. A place to search for great recipes, to learn to use what you have on hand, exclude ingredients, to save recipes, to create your own online recipe box, to print recipes, to create a shopping list for a recipe you’d like to make… and on and on. You can learn more about Yummly here.
How Does Yummly Help You?
Here’s the deal. When you are here on my site, and you see a recipe you’d like to save for later, Yummly to the rescue. Simply click on the Yum button to the left of the page on the toolbar, and you can save the recipe to your recipe box.
Once it’s saved, you can go to Yummly.com anytime and retrieve any recipe you saved. You can organize them by theme, category, type or cuisine. Actually you can organize them any way you please. The site is very user friendly and fast.
Don’t forget – it’s FREE! Not a single cent! So what are you waiting for? Create a Yummly account and you can create your own online recipe box where you can save any recipe on the internet. If a site doesn’t have the ‘yum button’ you can get a browser extension (called a Bookmarklet) so you can yum any recipe you want!
