Recipe For Pulled Pork in the Crockpot
1 pork shoulder roast
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 c. barbecue sauce
1/2 c. vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder
a teaspoon or two of liquid smoke, if desired
Place the pork roast into the crockpot. Add the chopped onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cover and cook on the low setting for about 9-11 hours. Check tenderness. It should shred easily. Drain all juices and shred the pork in the crockpot. Add the vinegar and the barbecue sauce and liquid smoke if desired. Cook for an additional 1 hour. Serve on buns as a sandwich topping or enjoy by itself. Pulled pork is a great picnic food.
