I have been trying to incorporate #meatlessmonday at our house for quite some time. But when you have a house full of teenagers that love meat, it’s hard to be able to do that without at least one or two of them complaining. Plus my guy is a carnivore, so the subtle change I had made to our Monday’s, did not go un-noticed. However, then I discovered Gardein garden grown meatless products, and I felt like I may have hit the jackpot. For this dish, we selected the ultimate beefless ground. Since my daughter was making this for her boyfriend, we were excited to see how he liked Gardein. My extremely picky son was also eating dinner with us that night. We made this a super easy dinner because it was a busy weeknight and I needed something I could throw on the table in 20 minutes and THIS is it.
I was pretty impressed I could cook straight from frozen. I appreciate the time saving step that provides. We cooked up the beefless ground, pretty much the same way I would do for any meat filled pasta. A little garlic powder and salt and pepper. It smelled delicious and we were ready to go. We literally just tossed it with some alfredo sauce and noodles and were eating in less than 20 start to finish. You could toss in veggies if you wanted, instead I served it with a side of broccoli and a side salad. It was a wonderful, filling and delicious meal.
