When my box arrived, I was pretty excited because I had no idea what to expect.
Lifting the lid, I found that the whole box was packaged like a present. I loved it. They tucked an information card, a letter and a few other items into a little pocket they created. I just loved how it all looked.
Once I lifted the tissues paper, I found all the goodies. Each item was individually wrapped and really was like a present. It was so much fun to pull each item out and see what it was and plan on what I might use it for.
Mary’s Secret Ingredients also includes a great information card which has product information and a little history on each of the companies behind the products. In addition, you can also go to their recipe blog to get recipes and serving ideas for all of the products in the box.
So what was in the box?

Harmonian Kalamata PDO Extra Virgin Olive Oil ($15.00): Olive oil is the true “juice of life” and is a secret shared by people at the Mediterranean basin for ages. The land of Messenia, at the southwestern end of Peloponnese in Greece, produces the fine oil of the “Koroneiki” olive variety. Harmonian selects only its top quality crops and embottles their most precious extracts with the utmost care. This oil is silky in texture, keen in flavor, and rich in aroma, extra virgin and high quality. Can be enjoyed both raw and cooked.
Kind Dark Chocolate Mocha Almond Bar ($1.95): A brand new flavor! Dark roast coffee and whole almonds blended with honey and drizzled in dark chocolate to form a bar that, with just 5g of sugar, only tastes indulgent.
All together I the value of the Fall 2014 box is $47.39. Since the boxes cost $25.95, the value is nearly double. I’m pretty impressed with that and loved everything I’ve tried!
