Lean Cuisine Culinary Collection Chef’s Pick #culinarychic #review

I love working from home, and being able to set my own hours. However, working from home means I have to keep a schedule and be disciplined about getting work done, ignoring calls and staying focused. It takes commitment to make working at home something you can do. It also helps that my kids are teenagers now, so they can fend for themselves when need be.

Some days, I’m working so hard, and so focused, I simply forget everything around me until I get my work done. This can be a big problem when I ignore lunch which I tend to do more often that not.

Wouldn’t it be great if I could find something warm, something flavorful that wouldn’t require me to stop my work and hang out in the kitchen for 20 minutes?

Now there is.

The Culinary Roundtable chefs, Michelle Bernstein, Brad Farmerie, Paul Kahan, Anita Lo, Lior Lev Sercarz & Lucien Vendome are busy embracing the wonderfully bold flavors of the season and creating beautiful, creative meals.

Just look at these flavorful meals designed for the new Chef’s Pick line:

  • NEW Spinach Artichoke Ravioli
  • NEW Asparagus Ravioli
  • Ranchero Braised Beef
  • Chile Lime Chicken
  • Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli
  • Chicken Makhani
  • Chicken & Vegetables
  • Chicken in Peanut Sauce
  • Chicken Carbonara
  • Glazed Chicken
  • Steak Tips Portobello
  • Chicken with Basil Cream Sauce
  • Chicken Pecan
  • Thai-Style Chicken
  • Chicken Marsala
  • Lemon Chicken
  • Orange Chicken

I had a chance to actually sample a few of the new Lean Cuisine Chef’s Pick meals which was wonderful, because I actually ate lunch those days and the meals were so very good. I was very impressed.

I was happy with the variety of meals I had to choose from and how easy they were to find at my local store. I was also very satisfied with the wonderfully rich flavors and creamy sauces each of the meals exude.

I chose the Steak Tips Portobello, Chicken with Basil Cream Sauce and the Ranchero Braised Beef to try so far, but I have about 6 more in my freezer waiting for me to nearly miss lunch again.

I loved how quick and fast they were to prepare. I loved how delicious they smelled, I loved and noted right away how crisp the vegetables stayed and the meat was plentiful for a nice low calorie meal. Plus, the food looks good – the presentation needs nothing to enjoy a delicious, flavorful meal. You really cannot beat that.

Lean Cuisine Chef’s Pick Chicken with Basil Cream Sauce

This was the first one I tried. It is my favorite and I keep buying more. I love the Chicken with Basil Cream Sauce quite a bit, with the flavorful tortellini, the big pieces of grilled chicken and all the wonderful crisp vegetables. Then there’s that rich, flavorful sauce. It’s a creamy basil sauce so full of flavor and they don’t skimp. I had more than enough to coat my meal, which is actually important to me.

Lean Cuisine Chef’s Pick Steak Tips Portobello

Next I tried the Steak Tips Portobello. Again, I enjoyed the flavorful bites of extremely tender meat, and was impressed with the boldness of the steak and portobello mushrooms in the sauce. The broccoli was vibrant and tender and was so good dipped in the sauce. I love mixing my food flavors together. Another stellar meal I will be eating again.

Lean Cuisine Chef’s Pick Ranchero Braised Beef

The third one I tried was the Lean Cuisine Chef’s Pick Ranchero Braised Beef. The first thing I have to tell you is how impressed I was with the red chili sauce. It honestly tasted homemade and the beef was perfectly tender and so flavorful in this dish. It comes served with a side of Chipotle Mashed Sweet Potatoes which I was completely in love with. Tasted just like something I’d whip up in my own kitchen, rich and sweet and moist.

I have also sampled the Glazed Chicken – also wonderfully flavorful and delicious, and the Chicken Marsala, which one of my girls tried with me and I wound up handing it over to her. She loved it. (so did I, I only got a few bites).

Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the wonderfully fresh dishes full of bold flavors that tantalize your tastebuds from the first time you smell them (at least they did to me!)

I am now on the hunt for the new Asparagus Ravioli and the Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli. I just love these meals.

Have you tried any of the new Lean Cuisine Chef’s Pick meals yet? Which one was your favorite? Which one do you want to try?

I have partnered with Lean Cuisine through DailyBuzz Food to help promote their new line of Chef’s Pick products. I have been compensated for my time commitment to work with this product. I’ve never been a HUGE fan of anything that comes out of a box (yes, I’m a little snooty, lol), but I was surprised to try one of these at a friends recently – lean cuisine really did something right when formulating how they package these babies up… =)
