Hungry? Make This Spicy Potato Wedges Recipe

potwedgeGuess what my kids are having for snack this afternoon when they get home? I’ll be popping them in the oven in about 15 minutes. Yum!

Spicy Potato Wedges Recipe

1/4 c. canola oil
1 Tbs. chili powder
2 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. paprika
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
3-1/2 lbs. large red potatoes, cut into wedges

In a big bowl, combine everything except the potatoes. After you have cut the potatoes into wedges, add them to the bowl and toss to coat entirely. Arrange in a single layer on a greased baking sheet. You might need two. Bake at 400° for 30-35 minutes or until potatoes are tender and golden brown, turning once. Delicious!

Dinah, I’m not really sure about doing it if you only have a microwave, simply because a microwave tends to soften your food, and you want these to be a bit crispy on the outside. I’m really not convinced they would work with a microwave, but I can’t speak for sure because I have never tried. Sorry.

When I was a kid my mother made sweet potato fries. She sliced them, fried them in butter and sprinkled with sugar. They are great!
