Easy Tuna Cheese Melts

tunameltLooking for an inexpensive lunch idea? These easy Tuna Cheese Melts are not only quick to make, but taste great too. Even if you have a finicky eater, you have a chance with these! Serve with pickle slices or tomato slices. Yummy!

Easy Tuna Cheese Melts

1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
8 slices bread
1 6 oz. can of tuna fish, drained and flaked
2 Tbs. real mayo (not Miracle Whip)
4 slices American cheese
4 Tbs. butter, divided

In a bowl, combine the sour cream and the garlic salt well. Spread on one side of four slices of bread. In another bowl, combine the tuna fish and the mayo. Spread it on one side of the other four pieces of bread. Top the tuna mixture with a slice of cheese and them top with the sour cream mix slice of bread. Press the sandwich together gently.
In a large skillet, melt two Tbs. of butter over medium heat. Add two of the sandwiches and toast them on both sides until the are light brown and the cheese is melted. Remove. Add two more tablespoons of butter and repeat with the last two sandwiches.
Makes four delicious sandwiches.
