Company Green Beans

greenbeansI love to prepare this dish, especially when I’m in a time crunch and having people over for a wonderful dinner. It’s a nice sized dish, serves at least 8. Can be doubled for a larger crowd and even when you are only having twelve, I assure you both dishes will be GONE. Delicious and inexpensive – especially if you use coupons or sales!

Company Green Beans

1 medium onion, diced
1/4 cup stick margarine or butter
2 packages (16 ounces each) frozen cut green beans, thawed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
Paprika, optional

In a large skillet, saute the onion in margarine or butter until tender. Add the thawed green beans, salt and pepper. Cook until it is all heated through. In the original recipes, it said serve with sour cream; but instead, we mix the sour cream INTO the finished dish and then sprinkle with paprika. Delicious!!
