Share a Coke and try this Super Simple Ice Cream Coke Floats Recipe #ShareItForward #Shop

It’s Summer break in our house, the kids are finally off school and it’s time to cool down and have some fun with all our free time. Of course, that’s not really the case for me, because mom still has to work and the breaks come a lot less frequently. This means I have to carve out some time every day for the kids, and on the weekends we enjoy going to the pool, having a game or movie night and just spending time together. It’s all about family for us and with the Nationwide Share a Coke event coming to a Walmart near you, you can celebrate your family, friends, any loved one you want. We also made these Super Simple Ice Cream Coke Floats to enjoy!

With summer in full swing, having an arsenal of good smoothie recipes, is important. I don’t know about you, but when we are trying to beat the heat, we love cooling down with big pitchers of smoothies. Even over popsicles, my kids request smoothie recipes far more often to cool off in the summer months. Twix Milkshakes

Who doesn’t love TWIX® Bites? We used TWIX® Bites to create easy TWIX® Milkshakes and TWIX® Brownie Bites for our Teen Night In party!

I remember when my kids were all still really young. We used to have kids coming and going at all times of the day and evening, as they played outside, ran around the neighborhood and rode bikes together. I hoped and prayed that even when my kids were teenagers, that our house would be the house that everyone wanted to come to hang out at. Not so much because I wanted to be the cool mom, that was part of it ;), but also because I wanted a safe place they could all hang out and have fun and I enjoy watching them all together. Our house being the place to hang out, means I don’t have to worry about who is driving, where they are or who they are with. Flash forward all these years later, and that is our house to a tee. I feel blessed and I love having all these kids over on a regular basis.

Watermelon Kool-Aid Fruit Drinks Malted Milkshakes

Nothing screams summer like Watermelon. Or Malted Milk Shakes. Yes? Yes! Kool-Aid’s new ready-to-serve, 96 ounce fruit drinks bottles made it easy for me to incorporate our favorite flavor in one of our favorite summertime treats. Watermelon Kool-Aid Fruit Drinks Malted Milkshakes! With the new bottles, this malted milkshake is ready in under 5 minutes from start to finish. With a house full of hot teenagers this summer, I’m positive that we will be making this recipe time and time again, to keep them cooled off!

My daughter is currently learning to drive, so after some practice in our already hot weather, we were ready for a break and we knew just the treat we wanted. We stopped by Walmart to pick up the ingredients needed to make this easy perfect-for-summer beverage. It took us no time at all to find the large display of Kool-Aid juice drinks. They were right there in the middle of a huge aisle!  We made sure to pick up a few other Kool-Aid items because we have some more fun Kool-Aid recipes coming your way!

Mom’s Rum Rolls | Happy Mother’s Day | #SundaySupper

Rum-Rolls-Recipe

It’s been a few weeks since I was able to participate in a Sunday Supper event, and I am thrilled to be back for such a special one. I chose Rum Rolls in honor of my mom, the reason for which I will talk about more in a second.

As a mom myself, I appreciate the job my mother has done raising me, and honestly even as a 40 years old adult, I can say she isn’t done yet. haha Guess I still have a long time to go raising my own five teenagers. Yes?

Chocolate Cinnamon Meringues

Chocolate Cinnamon Meringues

These Chocolate Cinnamon Meringues are not only very simple to make, they are delicious and full of lots of chocolate and cinnamon flavor!

It’s time once again for this month’s SRC (Secret Recipe Club) reveal and this month I found it harder than ever to choose a recipe. In case you were unclear of how the Secret Recipe Club works, here’s a quick explanation. You are assigned a blog and you keep it a secret, you have a couple of weeks to choose a recipe off it, make it and then we have a reveal day where we reveal which blog we had, and what we chose to make.

Secret Recipe Club

This month, I was assigned Claire K Creations and wow, just wow. The sheer number of recipes that were screaming my name, quite possibly were a major percentage of her recipes. I narrowed it down to her Chocolate Cinnamon Meringues, but it was NOT an easy decision. At all. In other words, if you love my blog recipes, I can’t imagine you wouldn’t love hers, because her recipes are all the things I would make.

There were just so many choices.

Pineapple Ice – Two Ingredients

Pineapple Ice

In the spirit of my A to Z Blogging Challenge, here is a wonderful TWO ingredient recipe for Pineapple Ice. I definitely bombed the A to Z Challenge this month but I have all the recipes complete so over the next couple of weeks I will put up the remaining recipes. While I have tried to stick to two and three ingredients for the most part, the main theme of this challenge for me this month was easy and simple recipes that anyone can make. I’m sure there will be a few that have more than three, but no matter what, they will be very easy.

Two Ingredient Lemon Bars

Two Ingredient Lemon Bars

We’re about halfway there with the A to Z Challenge at this point, and today’s post is all about some very easy Two Ingredient Lemon Bars. These turn out with a light lemony citrus flavor and a moist soft cake, that is light and fluffy. I did sprinkle powdered sugar over the top, so I guess in reality if you decide to do that too, they are then THREE ingredient Lemon Bars. Either way they are extremely easy, very delicious and I can think of all kinds of ways to change them up and make them even better.
