It’s not summer, in fact – it’s still the middle of winter, but our weather has been so pleasant lately that when we saw that I was only a couple of weeks away from needing a smoothie or shake recipe for This Week’s Cravings I knew that was the day to do it. We hit 60 degrees and it was beautiful out, I even sat on our patio for awhile and got some blogging done. It was wonderful.

After a bit we dusted off the smoothie maker and mixed these babies up. Yum!

Ingredients

  • 1 c. of frozen blueberries
  • 2 fresh bananas, sliced up
  • 1 c. of low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 2 Tbs. milk
  • 3 ice cubes

Instructions

Super simple directions. Throw it all into a blender or smoothie maker and blend. So DELICIOUS! (would have enjoyed using fresh blueberries but they aren’t in season nor do they come pre-frozen and you’d have to use a lot of ice. ha!) We did make some cute fruit kabobs to enjoy with it. Not necessary but it makes it feel a bit more summery that way.

We had a couple of days in the mid to upper 70s last week which was very nice. I love the color of your smoothie. I’m going to try this when the auntlings are here again because they love yogurt and bananas.

This looks absolutely delicious and very professional :) I do something similar, but I like to use Greek yogurt since I’m a vegetarian- it adds some extra protein punch.
